Call To Action – Grandfather Date of Vapor Products

04 Nov, 2015

For those of you who are not aware, the proposed FDA regulations currently under review in the White House include grandfathering all requirements for vaping products to 2007. This means that anything created since 2007 would need to be analyzed and approved by the FDA before it can be sold. The approval process is not only extremely intensive, but also overwhelmingly expensive. This would, in essence, put the majority of small vapor businesses out of business. As we all know, this would result in big tobacco, who has plenty of time and money for this process, to become one of the few remaining resources for the purchase of vapor products. As shop owners, we cannot allow this to happen.

Call to Action

Representative Tom Cole of Oklahoma introduced bill HR 2058 that would save the vapor industry from these unbearable regulations by the FDA. This bill would amend the FDA to change the grandfather date for “deemed tobacco products”. By changing the date, vapor products currently on the market would be allowed to remain without being subjected to the prohibitive pre-market FDA approval application process.

Please join us in supporting HR 2058 by doing the following:

Please remember, many of the political representatives do not know much about vaping or the industry. They’re going based on what they have seen and been told. So, please be courteous and respectful. Educate them and ask that they support our cause.
